Voip.com does it your way

I can't wait for my voip internet phone adapter to arrive--reason # 256 why it would be really cool if Star Trek were real--teleportation. While I'm waiting, though, I guess I'll log into my voip.com account and see what there is to see.

Boxes. I see green boxes. One for my voicemail, one for outgoing calls, and one for the incoming ones. They give me the last 10 instances of each one, right there on the main account page. That's so...right. And there are links to the pages where I can find expanded versions of this information, exactly where I expect them to be. Except I didn't really expect any of this. It's almost as if they designed the interface with the end user in mind. What a novel concept. Normally, when I attempt to navigate my wireless or landline account pages, I'm banging my head on the keyboard within 5 minutes.

Off to the right-hand side of the page there are two more boxes. The topmost is for managing all of the 5 billion features that come standard with a voip.com number and underneath that is a recent billing info section. Again, both of these boxes contain links to their respective pages, where more extensive information can be found. At the very bottom is a section called Helpful Links, sort of a grab bag of shortcuts to the most common things a person might need to take care of while visiting their account page.

I'm impressed. This is so nice, I might just visit for the heck of it.
