When you want more

It drives me nuts when someone is trying to sell me a service and they make it hard to figure out exactly what I'm getting and how much it will cost. My old phone company is notorious for that. They make customers jump though hoops before they'll even talk about what's available and when it's all said and done, you have to work really hard to give them your dollars.

Luckily, voip.com has stepped outside the traditional telecom box and created a new business model based on the concept of build it right and they will come in droves. It sure works for me. The last section of your voip.com account deals with add-ons. Each item is clearly marked and defined, with logical navigation and easy to find pricing.

Pricing you can so totally afford now that you're saving so much money. One of the things you can upgrade to is an additional line. When you have more than one line, the billing is thoughtfully consolidated into a single document and it's a simple matter to access information for each line from nearly anywhere on your account pages. Additional lines cost $9.95/month.

Virtual phone numbers let you set up a local number in a different location that friends, family or customers can call without having to worry about long distance charges. Incoming calls ring through to your designated voip number and cost $4.95/month, with a $9.95 set-up fee.

You can also get a Toll Free number, so that anyone can call from anywhere in the US without having to pay long distance fees. Like virtual numbers, incoming calls are pointed to your regular voip line. The service costs $4.95/month, with an additional $9.95 set-up fee.

The last add-on is completely free. If you want to make voip internet phone calls from your PC, there's a SoftPhone program you can download. Use it to make and receive calls or check your voicemail.
