Will my modem work with voip?
In order to successfully use voip, you need to be using a high-speed internet connection of at least 90 kbps in both directions (upload and download). Anything slower than that will give you rotten call quality and who wants that? If you have a DSL or Cable broadband modem, you should be able to use voip.com's internet phone service. Go online and test how fast your connection is at InternetFrog.com or use voip.com's broadband tester to find out how many voip phones your connection can handle.
