How do I add an additional line?
We ship various types of adapters to residential customers based on what we currently have in stock. Some of them support two (2) phone lines and some support one (1) phone line.
If your adapter has only one phone line, you will need an additional adapter to make your second line work.
If your adapter supports two (2) phone lines, you will need to order a second line through your customer account.
A second line is great for separating a home office from a home, keeping the kids' calls from affecting your adult conversations, or to help with whatever domestic situation may come along, an additional line is often used to help make communications less stressful.
To order an additional line, you will need to ensure that you have at least 90 Kbps of available bandwidth from your Broadband connection for each phone that is in use.
To order an additional line:
- Login to your voip.com account
- Click the Add-Ons link
- Click the Additional Lines link
- Complete the order form as requested
Each additional line will have a unique phone number and separate service plan.
