How do I use the Speed Dial 8 Feature?
Speed Dial 8 allows you to assign a single-digit code to frequently dialed or hard-to-remember numbers which can be used instead of the full numbers to place calls.
There are two ways to program this feature: from your website control panel and/or from your telephone.
Program Speed Dial 8 from the Website Control Panel
- Login to your account
- Click the Call Features tab
- Click the "edit settings" link next to Speed Dial 8
- Click the "edit" link next to the Speed Dial position you want to modify
- Enter a Name for your entry
- Enter the Number for your entry
- Click the Save Changes button
- To make sure that the Speed Dial 8 feature is activated, place a checkmark in the Enabled? box
- When finished, click the Return to Call Features link
Program Speed Dial 8 from your Telephone
- Dial *74 from your voip phone
- When prompted, press the number to assign to the Speed Dial 8 entry (you can use numbers 2 through 9)
- Press the # key to save the entry
- When promoted, enter the phone number to assign to the previously entered Speed Dial 8 number
- Press the # key to save the entry
- Hang up your telephone
- Example: *74 2 # 18008798647 #
Dialing a Speed Dial 8 Entry from your Telephone
- Enter the Speed Dial 8 number to dial
- Press the # key
- Example: 2#
