What’s the difference between DSL and Cable?
Each method provides high-speed internet access; it’s only the way they deliver that differs. DSL users receive their broadband connection through a direct link or channel between the service provider (generally the traditional phone company that serves their local area) and the member. Cable subscribers have the option of receiving their broadband over their cable connection, instead of the phone line. Although cable broadband is often faster than DSL, the channel is spread out among multiple subscribers within a given area. Heavy usage in your neighborhood may affect performance. Voip can be used successfully with both Cable and DSL connections.
