Are there extra fees for E911?

At voip.com, we automatically include E911 service with our Residential and Business calling plans. A fee of $1.50 is collected automatically for this service.

When you first become a voip.com member, you’ll be prompted to enter your emergency location and contact information into our E911 database. After about 15-20 minutes, your data should be updated in the system and available to those PSAPs that can accept E911 information.

If you need to change that info, it’s really easy. Just log into your voip.com account and click on the Account tab. At the bottom of the page, you’ll find a box marked 911 Information, with a “change” link next to it. Click the change link, make your edits and then hit the Save changes button. That’s it, you’re done.
