My phone adapter will not work behind my router/firewall!

Sometimes, a strong firewall or router, will block both the voice audio (called RTP) and phone signals (called SIP) from reaching your VOIP.com phone adapter. To solve this issue, you should open the following "ports" on your router or network device:

  1. Port range 5060 through 5065 (protocol: UDP)
  2. Port range 10000 through 30000 (protocol: UDP)

For assistance with opening the ports above you may wish to contact the manufacturer of your firewall or router. You may also contact your internet service provider (ISP) or visit www.portforward.com.
