Stuck behind a firewall?
Trying to get your SoftPhone launched but it keeps unexpectedly hanging during startup? It may be your firewall that’s the problem. Windows XP users can make sure their protection settings aren’t causing the problem by clicking Start, Control Panel, and then Windows Firewall. On the General tab, you’ll find there are two basic settings: On and Off. Choose On; then click the Exceptions tab to make sure there’s a checkmark in the voip_softphone selection box.
