#1 Troubleshooting Tip for Installing Your Voip Phone

If you've followed all the instructions in your Setup Manual and still have no dial tone, don't panic. Most installation problems can be easily fixed without having to call customer service. In fact, simply turning your equipment off for about 30 seconds will frequently fix the problem.

1. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Cable or DSL modem.
2. If you have an existing network router, unplug its power cord as well.
3. Unplug your voip internet phone adapter's power cord.
4. Turn off your computer.
5. Wait at least 30 seconds.
6. Turn your modem back on by plugging the power cord in and wait until it has fully powered up. The Power light should be steady and not blinking. This may take a minute or two.
7. Next, turn on your router, again waiting until it's completely ready before moving to the next step.
8. Now plug your voip internet phone adapter in and give it a minute to start up.
9. After your adapter is ready, turn your computer back on and check to see if your internet connection is up.
10. Pick up your phone and find out if you have a dial tone.
