Did you know that your ISP has a big effect on the quality of your voip calls?
A lot of factors go into call quality and broadband speed is just the starting point for a successful voip phone call. Nearly as important as the minimum 90 Kbps speed threshold is jitter and latency. You can have all the speed in the world, but if your connecting is constantly dropping out and reconnecting or unable to complete a round trip exchange fast enough, you’ll find your conversations are dogged by static, echoes, and lost audio. If you take your same voip provider and use the service in an area with high quality broadband, calls will be crystal clear, without echo, and completely intact.
