Voip is a great telephony solution, but only if you have the right setup. The first thing you need is a broadband internet connection of at least 90 kbps in both directions. Dialup is simply not fast enough for successful voip calls. You also need a touch-tone phone, a voip internet phone adapter, and a US based credit card for billing purposes. Voip adapters are often provided by your voip phone service provider.
