Voip and satellite service.

For normal sounding phone conversations, you need to minimize the time it takes your voice to reach your caller’s—more than 150 ms and you’ll start becoming aware of the lag. Satellite internet service works well for most purposes, however time sensitive applications, like voip, are going to have problems with the 500+ms delay introduced by satellite systems. Voip will still work; you’ll just have to be able to accept a much slower pace of conversation--think more along the lines of a walkie-talkie conversation.
