How do I enable port forwarding on a Westell modem?
NOTE: These instructions are provided for the Westell 6100 series, however the principles may work with other models.
- Point your Internet Web Browser to the address of the Westell, by default the ip address is 192.168.1.1
- Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is password. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.
- Click the Configuration button near the top of the page.
- Click the define custom service button near the bottom of the page.
- Select Port Forwarding Ranges of Ports and click Next
- In Service Name, enter Voip
- For Global Port Range, enter 1024 - 1030
- For Base Host Port, enter 1024
- For Protocol, enter UDP and click Next then Close
- Add another service called Voip2
- For Global Port Range, enter 5060 - 5065
- For Base Host Port, enter 5060
- For Protocol, enter UDP and click Next then Close
- Add another service called Voip3
- For Global Port Range, enter 10000 - 20000
- For Base Host Port, enter 10000
- For Protocol, enter UDP and click Next then Close
- Select the application you created and click enable
