How do I enable port forwarding on a Westell modem?

NOTE: These instructions are provided for the Westell 6100 series, however the principles may work with other models.

  1. Point your Internet Web Browser to the address of the Westell, by default the ip address is 192.168.1.1
  2. Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is password. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.
  3. Click the Configuration button near the top of the page.
  4. Click the define custom service button near the bottom of the page.
  5. Select Port Forwarding Ranges of Ports and click Next
  6. In Service Name, enter Voip
  7. For Global Port Range, enter 1024 - 1030
  8. For Base Host Port, enter 1024
  9. For Protocol, enter UDP and click Next then Close
  10. Add another service called Voip2
  11. For Global Port Range, enter 5060 - 5065
  12. For Base Host Port, enter 5060
  13. For Protocol, enter UDP and click Next then Close
  14. Add another service called Voip3
  15. For Global Port Range, enter 10000 - 20000
  16. For Base Host Port, enter 10000
  17. For Protocol, enter UDP and click Next then Close
  18. Select the application you created and click enable
